Most dramatic in renovation is the kitchen, which became light, bright and welcoming with quartz countertops, an oversized island, top-of-the-line appliances, and a dramatic bank of windows. The existing fireplace was simply painted but maintains its original charm.

Set against a bank of windows, the sink affords a view of the beautiful back yard. Adjacent open shelving provides contrast and easy access to dinnerware.

The kitchen fireplace and wall were simply but dramatically updated with white paint.

The staircase was opened up and the ceiling eliminated in the foyer to bring in more light and modernize the entry.

For formal entertaining, the living room adorned with elegant furnishings reminiscent of the 1950’s. The existing fireplace was updated with an off-white paint and a tile surround.

The light-filled great room is relaxed and informal.

Luxury details in the master bathroom include polished nickel plumbing fixtures, a quartz countertop, frameless shower with rainfall showerhead, and sleek floor tiles. An antique stand brings a refreshing contrast to the retreat.

The master suite is a stunning and light-filled retreat with dramatic hanging bedside light fixtures, padded headboard, and twin faux-fur covered benches.

This office is located adjacent to the great room. A free-standing desk makes the room look larger, and a built-in offers needed storage space.
